The organisation associated with the autonomous system that announces the address range.
ASN tool
ASN lookup
Find the autonomous system and network organisation associated with an IP address.
Quick guide
What is an ASN?
An Autonomous System Number is a unique identifier used by networks that exchange internet routing information. ISPs, cloud providers, universities and large organisations can operate one or more ASNs.
IPGetter reads ASN data from the local database on this server, so this lookup does not need a live third-party API call.
ASN data describes the network operator, not the individual using a specific IP address.
The IP is matched against local ASN data to identify the autonomous system that announces the address range and the organisation associated with it.

- Separating hosting, ISP and cloud networks
- Adding context during network troubleshooting
